Today i want to talk about coconut water. I am spending my holidays in Thailand at the moment and drinking fresh coconuts every day. That’s why i would like to share some nutrition facts about this pure and detoxifying water with you!

Well first of all i am completely obsessed with the taste of coconut water. A little sour, a little sweet, served chilly on a hot summer day it became my favorite drink to refresh. I have it with breakfast, lunch and dinner. Yes, i am crazy about this elixir!!

But what is making coconut water that healthy?

Coconut water is actually the purest type of water, filtered by the palm tree. The young coconuts can be reaped after fife till seven months. They are packed with vitamins, minerals, electrolytes, amino acids, enzymes and photo-hormones.

Coconuts content more calcium, iron, magnesium and zinc than a freshly squeezed orange juice. It is also a very good source of b-complex vitamins which are essential for our body. It is ideal for people on a diet as it contains almost no fat and is really low in calories.

Coconut water can be used as a natural isotonic sports drink and will rehydrate your body after a workout. You should try coconut water when you are suffering from digestive or urinary problems (and many women do!!). Pregnant or breastfeeding women can use fresh coconuts as a natural vitamin source to pass them to the baby. The plant growth hormones and the containing antioxidants will slow down the aging process, will reduce cellulite and will make your skin and hair shine!!

Too many reasons to drink a lot of coconut water. Of course the fresher the juice the better it will be for your body. I love to put some pure coconut water in my breakfast smoothies or making some delicious chia pudding with it.

Try it out and start shining!!!
